Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park
For over 33 years in the late 1800’s, this stone prison incarcerated over 3,000 inmates—29 of whom were women. Visitors to this historic site can walk inside the prison walls and learn about the inhabitants of the time through video presentations and exhibits. Yuma Crossing State Historic Park
In the early 1900’s, the U.S. Army used this area as a distribution center for their posts in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, and Texas. Spend a warm, sunny day exploring the site which included five of the original Quartermaster buildings. You’ll find out more about this historically rich area on their website.
