Mohawk Valley News
We may be small in size, but there are always many activities happening here on our campus. We want to keep you informed about what’s going on—that’s why we’ve put a news page here on our site. We will update this site with information and events you need to know about. Check back frequently so you are always “in the know.”
Dear MVS Parents,
I would like to take a moment to applaud your interest and attempts to help your child participate in remote learning this week. I recognize that this is not an easy task for families and that going to remote learning has interrupted your needs to work and fulfill other responsibilities. We are very hopeful that increased mitigation strategies will prevent the need for distant learning in the future.
It is very important that you communicate with your child’s teacher for specific issues. Please note the following expectations for us to consider your child present each day while in remote learning. Ultimately, it will be up to the teacher’s discretion whether or not a student made a valid attempt to participate in zoom meetings and complete assignments.
Please read the continuation of the August 25, 2021, superintendent letter concerning our remote learning expectations.
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has issued a public distribution notice for October 6, 2020. The state requires Mohawk Valley School District to routinely monitor its water for contaminants. Please read the notice for more information. Contact us by phone at (928) 785-4942 or by email if you have any questions.
A return to pre-pandemic normal school operation will resume for the 2021–2022 school year. Mohawk Valley School (MVS) will implement prevention strategies wherever possible and continue to monitor and follow CDC recommended protocols in the instance of a positive COVID-19 case. For more information, please see the MVS mitigation plan 2021–2022 document.
